That is Sachin….

He is Sachin! His batting style is hit hit …win win! Another great hot event from the bat of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who doesn’t require any introduction.

Double century in international cricket. This feet is easily done by Sachin which was not possible for thousands of cricketers in 39 years of international one days. In the second match against South Africa held at Gwalior on 24th Feb 2010, he has set a new record by hitting a double century for the first time. He stood one and only one in the international cricket history. Right back 22 years from this date, on 24th Feb, he has created a record of highest runs in the first class cricket along with his friend Vinod Kambli. On the same date, after 22 years, he has set up another record in the international cricket history. Presently, Sachin is eldest member of Indian cricket team, playing international career since 21 years, has stood in the crease for 3 and half hours continuously and played from first ball to last ball of the innings.

Save Tigers Protect National Pride....

today Morning when I was watching the television i had seen one advertisement that is 'Save the Tigers in India'. This message is for every Indians of the earth for saving the tiger because today number of tiger is decreased (1410 one died yesterday ) as compared to last years.
Tiger is the national animal of India. Tiger shows strength and huge power of India. Tiger is the pride of India. Tiger is the Indian pride so its time for every Indian comes together for taking steps for saving the tiger in India.
Today the world is developed with powerful technology so you can use the many techniques to save the tigers in India like sms, blogs, articles, advertisement social communities etc. . This process becomes one of the most effective steps to give sound to the Indians for saving tiger life.

Tigers are on the threshold of extinction. According to WWF, Tigers are amongst the ten most endangered species in the world. Over the last century more than 95% of the Tiger population has been wiped out & three sub-species are already extinct. Less than 3500 tigers remain in the wild today with around 1411(now 1410) in India & their numbers are declining fast…
if we don’t act now, we could losethis part of our heritage forever.
Every little bit helps. You can speak up about the cause. You can write or blog about our tigers. Even staying up-to-date with tiger facts like knowledge of tiger sanctuaries, their population, news updates, etc. helps. You can also donate money to NGOs working for the cause, like WWF-India

Today there are 37 tiger sanctuaries in the country spread across 17 states. After googling, to my shock, I found that not one state has utilized funds fully released by Centre and hence are entirely responsible for the Project Tiger fail. I question why the National Tiger Conservation Authority and the centre have lagged behind in keeping a check in the proper utilization of funds by the states? Everyone is out to make money. They are only working on Project Tiger on papers with no conservation plans, no steering committee, no funding mechanism and buffer zone. Reiterates the story of Jungle Raaz in the country, the tiger’s reserves no exception. India can never have solutions for Real problems, the concerned are so busy with the internal affairs of political parties and mudslinging. And obviously plundering the country’s wealth and pocketing it for their extravagance.

Every message becomes nearer step to save tigers in India. Please Save Tigers Save National Pride..................

South Africa humiliate India at Nagpur

Sachin during his 46 test hundred and overall 91st hundred in ODI and Test

When Dale Steyn runs through a line-up, as he did during India’s first innings, batsmen don’t mind admitting that they’d been done in by an unstoppable force. When it’s the innocuous (for want of a less offensive adjective) left-arm spin of Paul Harris that’s making the biggest dents, however, their emotions should — and probably do — swing between acute embarrassment and outright disbelief.
Harris picked up three crucial wickets on Tuesday, and was denied a fourth by the umpire, as South Africa beat India by an innings and six runs at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, to take a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series and a giant step towards the world No 1 ranking. The defeat was Dhoni’s first as captain, India’s first in a year-and-a-half, and their first at home since they had gone down to the same opponents in Ahmedabad two years ago.
Harris’s greatest strength is the fact that he knows his limitations and works within them — something that shows in the mindgames he plays. Instead of talking himself up ahead of tours, he likes to play things down, having referred to himself in the past as both “useless” and “fifth grade”.
South Africa won by an innings and 6 runs
South Africa 558/6d; India 233 and 319 (f/o)

India need to win 2 test to level series and keep No. 1 postion in test matches.

best of luck india!!!

The country celebrated the 60th Republic Day

India's vibrant cultural heritage, its impressive achievements and military might were on a majestic display on Tuesday as the country celebrated the 60th Republic Day.

Marching down from the Raisina Hills, the Republic Day parade showcased the country's 'unity in diversity' as well as the armed forces in full battle regalia.

Despite the heavy fog, well turned out and synchronised military contingents marched proudly through the Rajpath where President and Supreme Commander of armed forces Pratibha Patil took the salute.

The march-past was watched by the Republic Day chief guest South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Defence Minister A K Antony and the country's top political and military brass, including UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

Patil and her South Korean counterpart arrived at the Rajpath escorted by the President's 46 bodyguards riding well-trained, impeccably-bedecked horses.

Minutes before the parade began, Singh, Dr Antony and chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force laid wreaths at 'Amar Jawan Jyoti', the British-era World War-I memorial at India Gate, where an eternal flame burns in memory of those who laid down their lives while defending the nation's frontiers.

A heavy security blanket was thrown around New Delhi for the Republic Day celebrations in the backdrop of intelligence inputs about terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Tayiba acquiring over 50 para-gliding equipment, which could be used to launch an air-borne suicide attack.

After the President unfurled the tricolour and a customary 21-gun salute, the parade led by Major General KJS Oberoi, General Officer Commanding of Delhi Area of the Army, started.

The fog played spoilsport as four Mi-17 helicopters, which were scheduled to shower flower petals on the spectators, failed to do so due to the weather conditions.

The first to walk were the winners of the Param Vir Chakra and Ashok Chakra followed by mounted columns of 61 Cavalry.

The Army then showcased its impressive armoury before the nation, which included the indigenous MBT Arjun, SMERCH Multiple Launch Rocket System and Armoured Engineer Recce Vehicle and Sarvatra Bridge.

The army also brought its state-of-the-art ICV Communication Vehicle besides Samyukta Electronic Warfare System, Infantry Fighting Vehicle 'Sarath' and Ambulance Tracked to the parade.

The army contingent included personnel from Madras Regiment, Jat Regimentry, Sikh Regiment, Dogra Regiment, Garhwal Regiment, Bihar Regiment, Gorkha Regiment and Territorial Army.

They marched to the tunes PragatiSam BahadurHanste Lushai and General Tappyplayed by several bands drawn from various regiments of the Army.

Smartly dressed 148 Navy personnel then marched to the tunes of 'Jai Bharati' along with a tableau of INS Shivalik, which will be inducted shortly into the Indian Navy.

The Air Force contingent followed the Navy men marching to the tunes of 'Space Flight' played by its band. A tableau of 'The Air Warrior' was also displayed.

DRDO's Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Agni-III missile, surface-to-surface Shourya missile and Rohini Radar were also displayed.

Other marching contingents included camel-mounted BSF, Assam Rifles, Coast Guard, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, RPF, Delhi Police, NCC and NSS.

Following the country's armed and police forces came the country's rich cultural diversity in full display in 21 tableaux -- 13 from states and eight from ministries.

Rajasthan came out with the Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory in Jaipur displaying sophisticated instruments while Manipur came up with Hiyang Tanaba -- the traditional boat race of Meiteis tribe.

The lovely silk from Bhagalpur was what Bihar brought to the parade. Bihar's 'Bhagalpur Ki Lok Sanskriti: Resham Udyog' tableau displayed the sleek and lustrous silk made by Bhagalpur weavers.

One of the eye-catchers was Maharashtra's float 'Dabbawala', a common sight in Mumbai, which showcases the life of Mumbai's signature office tiffin suppliers. Dabbawala in CST railway station and an MBA student learning the working skills from the Dabbawala are some of themes in the tableau.

Karnataka showcased 'Pattada Kal', a world heritage site which is a fine example of temple architecture while Meghalaya's tableau showed its ingenious system of tapping of stream and spring water by using bamboo pipes.

The Youth Affairs and Sports ministry showcased the Commonwealth Games 2010, the first 'Green Games'. A bevy of sportspersons, including legendary athletes Milkha Singh and P T Usha, former hockey captain player Zafar Iqbal, Badminton player Gopichand Pullela and shooter Samresh Jung were the stars accompanying the tableau.
Children, who won the national bravery awards, then walked in to a huge applause. Twenty-one children have been selected for this year's award.

The spectacular parade ended with a flypast involving an IL-78, two AN-32 and two Dorniers in big boy formation, one AWACS and two SU-3- MKI in sentry formation and five Jaguars in arrowhead formation.
The flypast also had five Jaguars and five MiG29 in arrowhead formation and three SU-30 MKI in Trishul formation.

HELP FOR HAITI PLEASE DO FOR HUMANITY

Thoughts and prayers with the

people of Haiti.

Fresh earthquake panics Haitians

A powerful aftershock struck Haiti yesterday(20th jan 2010), shaking buildings and sending screaming people running into the streets only eight days after the country's capital was devastated by a major earthquake.
The magnitude-6.1 temblor was the largest aftershock yet to the apocalyptic January 12 quake that shattered Haiti's capital. It was not immediately clear if it caused additional damage or injuries.
The new quake hit at 6:03 am (1103 GMT) about 56km northwest of the capital of Port-au-Prince and 22km below the surface.
Wails of terror rose from frightened survivors as the earth shuddered at 6:03 am.

DEATH TOLL

According to the BBC, The Guardian and AFP, the death toll of Haiti catastrophic earthquake will be in the hundreds or even thousands. Overnight, Port-au-Prince was in total darkness with a large number of people sleeping outside in fear of more aftershocks. Large structures such as the Presidential Palace and the cathedral suffered major damages. A UN representative said that the UN local head quarter in Haiti has “sustained serious damage along with other installations, and a large number of personnel are missing”.

In his first interview since the earthquake, Haitian President Rene Preval has said thousands of people are feared dead. Speaking with the Miami Herald, President Preval described the situation in Port-au-Prince as “dire and unimaginable.” “Parliament has collapsed, the tax office has collapsed, schools have collapsed, hospital have collapsed. There are a lot of schools that have a lot of dead people in them,” said President Preval.

The Red Cross says that more than 3 million people are affected by the tragedy. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said today that the head of the UN mission in Haiti and his deputy were among more than 100 UN staff missing. According to AP, Port-au-Prince’s catholic archbishop is among those reported killed. In a phone interview with CNN, Haiti’s Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive said that he believes the death toll could be higher than 100,000. According to Reuters, the Pentagon has just ordered a nuclear aircraft carrier and 3 amphibious ships to set sail for Haiti. The French Foreign Minister says the French embassy in Port-au-Prince is “destroyed and hundreds of French national are missing”.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
“Americans can help the most by donating cash to an established relief agency,” says Suzanne H. Brooks, Director of the Center for International Disaster Information (CIDI). “Haitians have suffered greatly in recent years and desperately need Americans to respond appropriately. Helping the efforts of professional humanitarian relief agencies is the absolute best way to aid the victims in Haiti.

Those interested in making contributions to help the victims in Haiti can get more information by visiting CIDI’s Web site at www.cidi.org. Additionally, interested donors can visit www.interaction.org to obtain a list of credible responding agencies for international emergencies and www.give.org to get valuable information on making informed decisions when supporting charities.
